Coaxial Cable
The Coaxial cable is the connection between the antenna and the receiver. As the receiver is placed inside near power and internet and the antenna should have the highest elevation possible with a clear 360° view of the sky, there are usually some distance between the two.
Before installation, some thought has to go into how to run the coaxial cable between the antenna and receiver. Try using existing conduits or other openings for cables, it might be necessary to drill through outer walls.
Cables used are either Aircell 5, 7, or 10 depending on distance needed. The longer the distance more loss will occur, this can be offset by using a thicker gauge conductor. Cable should be 50 Ω impedance.
We provide as standard a 20 meter aircell5 coaxial cable, however we can accommodate up to 50 meters with aircell10, keep in mind the size of conduits as the cable increases in width
Cable in the antenna side is a N-Type male and on receiver side a SMA-Male connectors.
During installation its important to make sure the cable is not bent and without kinks as this will decrease the integrity of the conductor inside.
